《美国经典》剧情简介
故事围绕着百老汇明星理查德·比恩（克莱恩饰）展开，他以自负著称。一次公开的精神崩溃后，他回到了家乡。回到他发掘才华的家族剧院后，他发现父亲——前艺术总监——已经患上了老年痴呆症。如今，剧院沦为一家以谋杀悬疑剧为主的餐馆剧院，由他的兄弟（特尼饰）和嫂子（同时也是镇长）经营。为了重振剧院昔日的辉煌，理查德计划自导自演一部伟大的美国经典剧目，以此拯救剧院和这座小镇。
